Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
Spoon a generous amount of the cheese mixture onto each lasagna noodle, spreading it evenly.
Roll the noodles up carefully and place them seam-side down in a baking dish.
Pour half of the marinara sauce over the lasagna rolls, ensuring they are well coated.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on top of the rolls, followed by the rest of the marinara sauce.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh basil, if desired.
