Sugar-Free Banana Bread Simple and Tasty Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 large eggs
- 0.25 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
- 0.5 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 0.25 cup sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and applesauce. Mix until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the banana mixture, stirring until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans and the sugar-free chocolate chips for added flavor and texture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once done, allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
