Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Delightful Holiday Treat
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into wedges
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
- to taste Salt and pepper
- to taste Honey (optional for drizzling before serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smoothen any creases and to make it slightly larger.
- Place the Brie wedges in the center of the pastry, leaving enough space around the edges for folding.
- Spoon cranberry sauce generously over the Brie, then sprinkle chopped pecans and rosemary on top. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Fold the pastry edges over the filling, pinching and pleating as necessary to create a secure package. Ensure no filling is exposed.
- Brush the surface of the pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
- Make a few small slits on top of the pastry to allow steam to escape during baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Drizzle with honey if desired before serving.
