Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan Bites Tasty Snack Idea
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-seasoned)
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 large egg
- 0.5 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
- 0 fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
- 0 salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- In another bowl, beat the egg until frothy.
- Dip each chicken piece into the egg, allowing excess to drip off. Then, coat each piece in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.
- Arrange the coated chicken bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they aren't touching for even cooking. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry the chicken bites at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
- Once cooked, remove the bites from the air fryer and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves for a burst of color and flavor.
